How to Remove Default WordPress Widgets?
WP Adminify lets you hide unnecessary widgets by WordPress. Follow these steps to proceed.
Step 1: Open Widget Removal Settings
First, go to the following path: WP Adminify > Productivity.
Now, you’ll see the “Widgets Removal” option. In this option you will see two separate tabs:
- Sidebar Widgets
- Dashboard Widgets
We will show you both, but first let’s start with Sidebar Widgets.
How to Hide Sidebar Widgets in WordPress
First, select the “Sidebar Widgets” tab. You will see the “Disable Gutenberg Editor for Widgets” options. Click the button to enable it.
Once enabled, you will see all the available sidebar widgets you can hide. Here’s the list:
- Navigation Menu
- Archives
- Block
- Calendar
- Category
- Meta
- Pages
- RSS
- Recent Comments
- Recent Posts
- Search
- Tag Cloud
Each option comes with a checkbox. Simply mark the checkbox item you want to hide. Then click the “Save Settings” button to apply your changes.
How to Hide Dashboard Widgets in WordPress
First, select the “Dashboard Widgets” tab. You will see all the available dashboard widgets you can hide. Here’s the list:
- Elementor Overview
- WP Adminify News & Updates
- Site Health Status
- At A Glance
- Activity
- Quick Draft Your Recent Drafts
- WordPress Events and News
Each option comes with a checkbox. Simply mark the checkbox item you want to hide. Then click the “Save Settings” button to apply your changes.
