Menu Search

Admin Menu Search adds a search field to the top of your WordPress admin menu. Type a few letters and the menu filters down to matching items, which beats scrolling a sidebar that's grown to thirty entries because every plugin added its own menu.

What it does

Once enabled, a text field sits at the top of the admin menu. As you type, the menu filters in real time and shows only what matches. It covers:

• WordPress core menus (Posts, Pages, Settings, Tools)
• Menus added by plugins (SEO, WooCommerce, forms, caching)
• Custom items you created with the WP Adminify Admin Menu Editor

Submenu items count too. If you know a setting lives under some parent menu but can't remember which one, typing its name takes you straight there.

How to enable Admin Menu Search

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to WP Adminify → Admin Menu.
2. Open the Settings tab.
3. Toggle Menu Search to Enable.
4. Save your changes and reload the dashboard.

The search field now shows at the top of the admin menu on every dashboard page.

How to use it

1. Click the search field at the top of the admin menu.
2. Type part of the item name, like seo or woo.
3. The menu filters as you type and shows matching items with their parents.
4. Click the item you want. Clear the field to bring the full menu back.
