How to hide Admin notices in WordPress Dashboard

Admin notices in WordPress provide important updates but can clutter your dashboard, especially with multiple plugins or themes. WP Adminify helps by allowing you to hide these notices, keeping your dashboard cleaner and more organized.

1. Accessing the Admin Notice Settings

To hide admin notices in your WordPress dashboard using WP Adminify, follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the WP Adminify plugin in your WordPress dashboard.
  • Click on the Productivity tab located in the WP Adminify top bar.
  • In the Productivity settings, you will find the o+ption titled "Hide Admin Notices?".

2. Hide Admin Notices Option

The main setting for hiding admin notices is controlled by a simple toggle switch.

  • Hide "Admin Notices"?: This is the primary setting that allows you to hide all admin notices across the WordPress dashboard. By switching this option to YES, you can prevent any admin notices from appearing, which helps keep your dashboard clean and free from distractions.

3. Additional Settings

In addition to the main toggle, WP Adminify provides several other options to fine-tune how admin notices are managed:

  • Also, Hide for Non-Admin Users?: This checkbox allows you to extend the admin notice hiding functionality to non-admin users. When checked, all users without administrative privileges will also be spared from seeing any admin notices, ensuring a streamlined experience for all dashboard users.

4. Managing Other Notices

WP Adminify doesn't just stop at general admin notices. It also offers options to hide or remove other specific types of notices and dashboard elements:

Remove Welcome Panel: The Welcome Panel is the first thing users see on a fresh WordPress installation. If you're managing a site where this panel is unnecessary, you can remove it by checking this option.

Remove "PHP Update Required" Notice: PHP updates are critical, but constant reminders can become annoying, especially if you're aware of the situation. This setting allows you to hide the persistent PHP update notices from your dashboard.

Remove "PHP Update Required notice" from WordPress Dashboard

Hide Core Update Notice: Core updates are crucial for security and functionality, but the notices can clutter the dashboard. This option hides any notices related to core WordPress updates.

Hide Plugin Update Notice: Similar to core updates, plugin update notices can quickly fill up your dashboard. Enabling this option hides these notices, allowing you to check for updates on your terms.

Hide Theme Update Notice: If you manage multiple themes or simply want to avoid theme update reminders, this option will hide those notices from the dashboard.

Disable Site Health Checks: WordPress provides site health checks to ensure your website is running smoothly. However, these checks can sometimes lead to unnecessary warnings. If you'd rather not see these, you can disable site health checks through this option.

5. Saving Your Settings

After making the desired changes, don’t forget to click the Save Settings button to apply your configurations. WP Adminify will then automatically implement these settings across your WordPress dashboard.
