How to duplicate specific menu items inside a menu?

WP Adminify’s Menu Duplicator also lets you duplicate specific menu items within an existing menu, including their sub-items. This is useful for replicating menu structures without duplicating the entire menu, saving time when you need the same layout in different parts.

Follow these steps to duplicate specific menu items in a Classic Theme using this feature.

    1. Enable Menu Duplicator

Ensure the Menu Duplicator feature is activated:

    • Go to WP Adminify > ProductivityMenu Duplicator.
    • Toggle the feature to "Enable" if it's not already activated.

Note: The Menu Duplicator feature is designed for Classic Themes, which utilize traditional menus. If you're using a Block Theme, this feature might not be applicable.

    2. Go to the Menus Section

First, navigate to the Menus section of your WordPress admin:

    • Go to Appearance > Menus in your WordPress dashboard.

Here, you'll see a list of your existing menus and their respective items.

    3. Select the Menu to Work On

    In the Menus section:

    • From the dropdown, choose the menu where the item you want to duplicate resides.
    • Click Select to load the menu.

    4. Locate the Menu Item

    Once the menu loads:

    • Find the specific menu item that you want to duplicate. This could be a parent item or a sub-item.

    5. Duplicate the Menu Item

Inside each menu item, you'll see a Duplicate option that is part of the WP Adminify feature:

    • Click the Duplicate button next to the menu item you wish to replicate.

This will create an exact copy of the selected item (and its sub-items, if applicable) within the same menu.

    6. Edit the Duplicated Item (Optional)

After duplicating the menu item, you can:

    • Edit the newly duplicated menu item to change its label, URL, or any other parameters.
    • Adjust its position within the menu by dragging it up or down, or moving it to a different parent item if necessary.

    7. Save the Menu

After duplicating and modifying your menu items as needed:

    • Scroll down and click the Save Menu button to preserve the changes.

    Important Notes

    • For Block Themes, this feature is not applicable since block-based navigation uses a different system where individual menu items are managed differently.
    • This feature is designed primarily for Classic Themes, where menu management follows the traditional WordPress menu structure.
