How to remove unwanted Dashboard widgets?
WP Adminify has a Widget Removal feature. It helps you remove unnecessary or irrelevant widgets from your WordPress dashboard. Cleaning up the dashboard provides a more streamlined experience for site administrators and users.
Here’s how to remove unwanted dashboard widgets using this feature.
1. Access Widget Removal Settings
To begin removing unwanted sidebar widgets:
- Navigate to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to WP Adminify > Productivity > Widget Removal.
2. Select Dashboard Widgets
Once you're in the Widget Removal settings:
- Click on the Dashboard Widgets tab.
- You’ll see a list of all available widgets that can be removed from the WordPress dashboard.
3. Disable Unwanted Dashboard Widgets
From the list of widgets:
- Select the widgets you want to remove by checking the boxes next to their names.
- For example, you can uncheck widgets like At a Glance, Site Health Status, or Quick Draft, Your Recent Drafts if you do not need them.
4. Save Changes
Once you’ve selected the dashboard widgets to remove:
- Scroll down and click the Save Changes button to apply your selections.
5. Verify Widget Removal
To confirm that the unwanted widgets are removed:
- Check if the selected widgets are no longer visible.
- Return to the WordPress dashboard.
