Remove Gutenberg Style From Frontend
Gutenberg adds several styles and scripts to the frontend of your WordPress website, which might not be necessary if you’re using a different page builder or prefer to manage your own styling. These additional files can affect your website’s performance by increasing page load times. With WP Adminify’s Disable Gutenberg feature, you can easily remove Gutenberg styles and scripts from the frontend, ensuring that unnecessary resources are not loaded. Follow these steps to remove Gutenberg styles and scripts from the frontend of your site.
1. Access the Disable Gutenberg Feature in WP Adminify
To start, log in to your WordPress dashboard:
- Navigate to WP Adminify > Performance
2. Enable the Disable Gutenberg Feature
Make sure the Disable Gutenberg feature is turned on:
- Toggle the switch to Show (it should turn green).
- Once enabled, you’ll see options related to disabling Gutenberg styles and scripts.
3. Select the Option to Remove Frontend Gutenberg Styles & Scripts
Scroll down to find the option labeled Remove Frontend Gutenberg Styles & Scripts:
- Check the box next to this option to prevent Gutenberg-related styles and scripts from loading on the frontend of your site.
4. Save Your Changes
After selecting the option to remove frontend Gutenberg styles and scripts:
- Scroll down and click the Save Changes button to apply your settings.
5. Verify the Removal of Frontend Styles & Scripts
To confirm that Gutenberg styles and scripts are no longer loaded on the frontend:
- Navigate to your page, go to view page source, and try to find out "
/wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/common.min.css
" CSS file. - You should not be able to see this file if it works.
