How to redirect users to a specific page after login?
With WP Adminify’s Redirect URLs feature, you can easily redirect users to specific pages based on their roles, usernames, or capabilities after they log in. This customization improves user experience by guiding them to relevant pages immediately upon logging in.
1. Access the Redirect URLs Settings
To begin changing the WordPress login URL:
- From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WP Adminify > Security > Redirect URLs.
2. Enable the Redirect URLs Feature
Ensure that the feature is turned on by toggling the Show button at the top of the settings page.
3. Navigate to Roles Redirect
Once the feature is enabled:
- Click on the Roles Redirect tab located next to Login/Register URL.
This section allows you to configure role-based redirections after login.
4. Add a New Login Redirect Rule
To set up the redirection for specific users or roles:
- Click on Add New Login Redirect to create a new redirection rule.
5. Configure the Login Redirect Rule
You can now customize the redirection rule for specific user types:
- User Types: Choose whether to redirect based on User Role, User Name, or User Capability.
- Role: Select the specific role for which you want to apply the redirect (e.g., Administrator, Editor, Subscriber).
- Redirect URL: Enter the URL of the page to which users should be redirected after login.
For example, if you want to redirect Subscribers to a welcome page, choose "Subscriber" as the role and enter the URL of the welcome page.
Example Redirect URL:https://yourdomain.com/welcome
6. Save Changes
After configuring the login redirect, scroll down and click Save Changes.
7. Test the Redirection
Log out of your WordPress account and log in with the user role you configured to verify that the redirection is working.
