How to redirect users to a specific page after logout

With WP Adminify’s Redirect URLs feature, you can redirect users to a specific page when they log out. This can be useful for guiding users to a custom thank-you page, a marketing page, or any other landing page after they log out from your WordPress site.

1. Access the Redirect URLs Settings

To begin changing the WordPress login URL:

  • From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WP Adminify > Security > Redirect URLs.
Enable Redirect URLs feature

2. Enable the Redirect URLs Feature

Ensure the feature is active by toggling the Show button at the top of the Redirect URLs settings page.

3. Navigate to Roles Redirect

Once the feature is enabled:

  • Go to the Roles Redirect tab under the Redirect URLs settings, located next to Login/Register URL.

This section is where you can configure both login and logout redirections for users.

4. Set Up Logout Redirect Rules

Switch to the Logout Redirect section, where you can configure redirection for users after they log out.

  • Click on Logout Redirect under Redirect Rules Type.

5. Add a New Logout Redirect Rule

To create a new rule:

  • Click on Add New Logout Redirect to add a new condition.

6. Configure the Logout Redirect Rule

Now you can customize the redirection settings:

  • User Types: Choose whether to redirect based on User Role, User Name, or User Capability.
  • Role: Select the user role you want to set up the logout redirection for (e.g., Subscriber, Editor, Administrator).
  • Redirect URL: Enter the URL to which users should be redirected after logging out.

For example, to redirect Subscribers to a custom goodbye page, select "Subscriber" as the role and enter the URL of your custom page.

Example Redirect URL:
https://yourdomain.com/goodbye

7. Save Changes

After setting up the logout redirection, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to apply your configuration.

8. Test the Redirection

Log in to your WordPress site using the specified user role, and then log out to ensure the user is redirected to the correct page after logging out.
