Post Status Background Colors

The Post Status Background Colors settings in WP Adminify allow you to customize the background colors of posts in the WordPress admin interface based on their status. This feature is designed to help you visually distinguish between different post statuses in the WordPress admin area by assigning unique background colors to each status.

Background Color by Post Status Type

This is the primary setting that allows you to assign different background colors to various post status types. Below are the specific post statuses you can customize:

Publish BG Color

  • Description: This setting controls the background color of posts that are in the "Published" status. Published posts are live and visible to your site visitors.
  • Select Color: Clicking on "Select Color" will open a color picker where you can choose a color that will be used as the background for all published posts.
  • Use Case: For example, you might choose a green color to symbolize that these posts are active and live on your site.

Pending BG Color

  • Description: This setting adjusts the background color for posts that are marked as "Pending Review." These posts are waiting for an admin or editor to review and approve them before they can be published.
  • Select Color: Select a distinct color from the color picker to differentiate pending posts from others.
  • Use Case: A common choice might be yellow, which can serve as a cautionary color, indicating that the post is not yet finalized.

Future BG Color

  • Description: This setting is for posts that are scheduled to be published at a future date. These posts are fully drafted and will automatically go live at the specified time.
  • Select Color: Use the color picker to choose a color that will represent scheduled posts.
  • Use Case: A soft blue could be used to represent these posts, symbolizing that they are ready but will be published in the future.

Private BG Color

  • Description: The background color for posts marked as "Private" is controlled by this setting. Private posts are visible only to site admins and editors.
  • Select Color: Select a unique color to indicate that these posts are not visible to the public.
  • Use Case: You might select a dark color, such as gray or black, to clearly distinguish private posts from those visible to the public.

Draft BG Color

  • Description: This setting controls the background color for posts that are saved as "Drafts." Drafts are posts that have been created but are not yet ready for publication.
  • Select Color: Choose a color to indicate that these posts are still in the drafting phase.
  • Use Case: A common color choice for drafts is orange, symbolizing that these posts are still under construction and not ready for public view.

Trash BG Color

  • Description: The background color for posts that have been moved to the "Trash" is set here. Trashed posts are scheduled for deletion but can be restored if needed.
  • Select Color: Pick a color to signify that these posts are in the trash and are pending deletion.
  • Use Case: Red is often chosen for trashed items, as it represents a state of being removed or discarded.

Using the Color Picker

For each status type, clicking the "Select Color" button will open a color picker. You can either choose a color from the palette, input a HEX color code, or use the RGB sliders to achieve your desired color. This customization is flexible, allowing you to select colors that best fit your site's branding or your personal workflow preferences.
